The Montessori Method is definitely on the rise these days. How comes the pedagogical ideas of an Italian doctor from last centuries were so successful, and what can we learn from her?
If you don’t work in a Montessori school, but are curious about this method and want to understand if there is something you can do to implement some strategies about this extraordinary approach into your everyday activity, this is the course for you.
We will analyze the story of the Montessori Method and the theory behind her approach, also digging in some of her iconic discoveries (the absorbing mind of children, just to name one!)
We will also observe the activities and the materials from the Montessori Curriculum, filmed in a real Montessori school, explained by Montessori trained instructors.
After exploring the formal method, we will focus on the use that we can do of it today, in your school: first of all, how to use technology in a “Montessori approved” way, and also how to build your own materials and what to pay attention to.
